Biomechanics Assessment – What to Expect
At DM Active Motion Rehab & Performance, our Intrinsic Biomechanics Assessment is designed to identify the root causes of movement issues, recurring niggles and performance limitations. This approach is different from traditional therapy and gives you a clear understanding of how your body moves and how to improve it.
How Our Assessment Works
We assess how your pelvis, spine, shoulders, knees, feet, muscles, joints and nerves interact during movement. Our screening system is hands‑on, safe, and backed by over 25 years of evidence across both elite athletes and the general population.
We focus on education, not dependency. You’ll learn how to manage your body with simple, effective interventions and iMoveFreely® techniques that improve movement quality, strength and long‑term resilience.
You’ll leave with a bespoke programme, exercise sheets and a clear plan based on your biomechanics and the demands of your sport or lifestyle.
What We Help With
Although not a medical or diagnostic service, we see excellent results with:
Persistent niggles
Low‑grade aches and pains
Recurring injuries
Movement restrictions
Sport‑specific performance issues
If you have existing medical conditions, we may liaise with your current therapist or refer you for clearance before continuing.

An excellent biomechanics body treatment. Darren's sessions are thoughtful, gentle, and highly effective, with a clear focus on understanding how my body moves and functions. I felt listened to and completely at ease throughout. Its about the big picture which Darren looks for not just a quick fix. Highly Recommend.
